Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has been awarded the Best Airline at the Routes Asia Awards 2024. The award, presented on February 28, recognizes the airline’s significant contributions to airport and destination marketing in the Asia-Pacific region.

The recognition acknowledges Cebu Pacific’s partnerships with airports and destination stakeholders, leading to more accessible air travel.

The low-cost airline’s efforts include resuming its Clark hub and launching 15 new routes in April 2023, solidifying its position as the carrier with the most comprehensive domestic network in the Philippines.

In addition to its collaborative efforts, Cebu Pacific has been recognized for its commitment to sustainability.

The airline has integrated various sustainable practices into its operations, including optimizing flight plans and adopting electric vehicles for ground operations.

By 2028, Cebu Pacific aims to transition to an all-NEO fleet and plans to incorporate Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) into its commercial network by 2030.

Alexander Lao, Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer, said:

We are honored to receive this award. This reflects Cebu Pacific’s unwavering commitment to providing our passengers with exceptional service, expanding our network connectivity, and making air travel more accessible and affordable.

The airline’s recent recognition at the Routes Asia Awards, the only route development event dedicated to the Asia Pacific region, underscores its position as a leader in the Philippine aviation industry.

In addition to the Routes Asia Award, Cebu Pacific has also been recognized as the Best Low-Cost Airline Brand and Most Sustainable Low-Cost Airline in the Philippines for 2023 by the World Economic Magazine.

Furthermore, Airlineratings.com, a leading airline safety and product rating review website, has listed Cebu Pacific among the top 20 safest low-cost airlines in the world for 2024.

For its sustainability initiatives, the Manila-based carrier has received a Gold rating from the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) and secured an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) score of 41 from S&P Global.

Cebu Pacific currently operates flights to 35 domestic and 24 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
