Airbus Helicopters secured 155 commitments for its multi-mission helicopters at Heli-Expo 2024, including 40 firm orders. The European manufacturer’s strong showing at the Anaheim, California expo highlights the continued demand for its versatile helicopters.

Highlights include a sizeable contract with THC for as many as 120 helicopters, with immediate orders placed for 8 H125s and 10 H145s. The company strengthened its presence within the emergency medical services sector with agreements for H145 deliveries to THC and DRF Luftrettung.

Other notable orders came from Niagara Helicopters (six H130s for Canadian tourism), HealthNet Aeromedical Services (four H135s), and Bristow (up to 15 H135s for energy sector needs).

Meanwhile, Airbus Helicopters and leasing company LCI bolstered their partnership with agreements involving the exploration of the advanced air mobility (AAM) market and long-term solutions within the helicopter industry.

Bruno Even, Airbus Helicopters CEO, said:

We thank our customers for placing their trust in our teams and our products and services with 155 commitments and 40 firm orders announced at this year’s Heli-Expo. It is a unique opportunity in the year to meet and exchange with customers and industry players. In 2023, our global fleet achieved 3 million flight hours so customer feedback is essential and it drives the continuous improvement of our solutions to enhance their critical, often life-saving, missions.

Airbus Helicopters also highlighted service contracts with Air Center Helicopters (H225 fleet support) and DSA (H135 support). The company partnered with GPMS to enhance its predictive maintenance system, FlyScan.

Additionally, Airbus Helicopters conducted demonstration flights using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to emphasize its commitment to cleaner flight.
