Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is set to make history by launching its first-ever service to Seoul, South Korea, as part of its 2024 summer schedules. The new route is a significant addition to SWISS’s expanding long-haul network.

Starting from May 7, 2024, SWISS will operate thrice-weekly non-stop flights between Zurich and Seoul. The flights will be serviced with an Airbus A340-300 fleet, equipped with First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy Class.

SWISS Chief Commercial Officer Tamur Ghandour said:

We are delighted to be further growing our network.

Ghandour added:

As well as our new long-haul destinations of Washington, DC and Toronto, which we’ve already announced, we’ll be adding the extremely attractive destination of Seoul to our Asian network in summer 2024. The capital of South Korea has a lot to offer leisure and business travellers alike. And our new Seoul service will help us even better meet our customers’ needs for non-stop services to and from the world’s key cities.

The new service aims to meet customer demand for non-stop connections to key global cities. South Korea is Switzerland’s fourth-largest Asian trading partner, indicating a strong business travel potential.

The capital of South Korea, Seoul, offers a blend of traditional charm and contemporary flair, making it an attractive destination for both leisure and business travelers.

The new Seoul service is also part of SWISS’s broader strategy to expand its long-haul network. In addition to Seoul, the airline has also announced new intercontinental destinations of Washington, DC, and Toronto, Canada.

Flight LX-122 departs from Zurich at 1:40 PM (UTC+1), reaching its destination, Seoul-Incheon, at 8:25 AM (UTC+9) the following day. The return flight, LX-123, takes off from Seoul at 9:55 AM and touches down in Zurich at 4:50 PM.
