Royal Air Philippines has announced the relaunch of its direct flights between the two cities, starting March 27, 2024. This marks a welcome return for the route, which was previously suspended in January 2024.
The airline made the announcement on Thursday via Facebook, detailing the flight schedule and launch date.
Passengers can expect daily flights aboard an Airbus A319-100, departing Clark at 9:00 AM and arriving in Hong Kong at 10:55 AM. The return flight departs Hong Kong at 12:55 PM and arrives back in Clark at 2:20 PM.
This relaunch comes after Royal Air initially launched Clark-Hong Kong flights in October 2023, alongside new Cebu-Hong Kong and Davao-Hong Kong routes. However, all three routes were temporarily suspended in January 2024. The reason for the initial suspension was not publicly disclosed.
With the resumption of the Clark-Hong Kong route, Royal Air expands its existing direct connection between Hong Kong and the Philippines. The airline currently operates daily flights to Caticlan, a popular gateway to the stunning beaches of Boracay Island.
Royal Air will directly compete with Cebu Pacific on flights between Clark and Hong Kong. The Gokongwei-led airline operates 10 weekly flights between the two destinations.
