PAL taps Collins Aerospace to enhance passenger experience, operational efficiency

284

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, have partnered to enhance the airline’s operations in a deal signed at the Singapore Airshow 2024.

According to RTX, the agreement will see the implementation of new technological solutions designed to streamline communication, optimize flight operations, and improve the overall passenger experience.

Collins Aerospace will implement a suite of solutions for the Filipino flag carrier.

Hermes Messaging will be introduced. This communications platform prioritizes reliability and security, aiming to reduce errors and significantly improve efficiency within the airline’s operations.

Moreover, OpsCore Flight Tracking will be implemented – a predictive operations management system that allows airlines to optimize their operations while managing potential costs.

PAL will also benefit from the seamless integration brought about by GlobalConnect, which provides a comprehensive data management and analytics solution that integrates with their existing systems for optimized data-driven decision-making.

Clotilde Enel-Rehel, Executive Director for Connectivity & Enablement Solutions at Collins Aerospace, said:

This agreement will empower Philippine Airlines to improve operations, enhance the passenger experience, and drive growth.

Through these tools, PAL expects to better coordinate its crew, ground staff, and other teams. Enhanced operational monitoring and real-time data access could help the airline proactively address issues and enhance the flying experience for its passengers.
