The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) announced today a series of scheduled electrical maintenance activities at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminals 1 and 2, the International Cargo Terminal, MIAA Administration Building, and the airfield.

These activities, starting February 6 and lasting until March 7, are part of an ongoing effort to upgrade NAIA’s electrical systems.

While MIAA assures minimal disruptions in some areas, they emphasize that critical systems used for passenger processing, such as check-in counters, immigration booths, and security scanners, will remain fully operational.

Additionally, the authority expects no significant impact on flight operations due to the scheduled works.

To minimize inconvenience, MIAA has taken a proactive approach by informing all stakeholders, including airlines, concessionaires, and government agencies, about the maintenance schedules.

The agency has also met with their service provider and Meralco to develop a unified strategy aimed at ensuring uninterrupted passenger movement and flight operations during the maintenance period.

Passengers are advised to monitor their airlines’ updates for any potential changes in flight schedules.
