Malaysia Airlines will offer rail connections for travellers bound for Seoul and London through its new product MHrail.
With MHrail, Malaysia Airlines’ customers will be able to make connections to/from their international flights onto rail routes operated by Korail KTX to/from Incheon Airport, and the London North Eastern Railway (LNER) and Avanti West Coast to/from Heathrow Airport.
In a statement, Dersenish Aresandiaran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines, Malaysia Aviation Group said:
With the introduction of our new MHrail product, we provide passengers with a seamless avenue to purchase both flight and train tickets, making it convenient for our guests to explore neighbouring cities and enjoy onward connections upon arrival in London or Seoul through a single itinerary and ticket.
The expanded routes -in line with the expansion of its partnership with AccesRail – complement the existing rail offering through the airline’s partnership on the Great Western Railway. The service is facilitated by AccesRail’s 9B carrier code, and bookings can be done via Malaysia Airlines’ website or through travel agencies.
Andrew Popsecu, Vice President Business Development, AccesRail, remarked:
AccesRail and Malaysia Airlines have worked together for many years with interline opportunities that have expanded the airline’s route network. We are excited to be deepening our Malaysia Airlines-AccesRail cooperation and look forward to continuing with them on a global scale. Through this enhanced AccesRail partnership, Malaysia Airlines will be able, now and in the future, be able to offer its customers more destinations and more possibilities in a more seamless fashion.
