Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has revealed details about its extensive inflight dining program. The airline serves over 77 million meals yearly, focusing on fresh ingredients and diverse culinary influences – including popular Filipino flavors.
Emirates operates 490 daily flights and serves approximately 215,000 meals daily across its global network. The airline employs 1,400 dedicated chefs who prepare meals using a library of 2,200 recipes.
Emirates uses a wide range of ingredients to provide passengers with high-quality meals. In a single year, this includes items like 6 million kilograms of chicken, 266,000 kilograms of Atlantic salmon, 938,000 kilograms of fresh cream, and produce from the airline’s own Bustanica vertical farm.
Filipino passengers can enjoy familiar flavors like bulalo, beef tapa, and chicken tocino, while other travelers can get a taste of Filipino cuisine. Emirates frequently updates its menus to reflect diverse culinary traditions worldwide.
The airline also emphasizes quality and presentation in all classes, offering premium ingredients and carefully prepared dishes. Its cabin crew receives training on food and beverage service to ensure an excellent passenger dining experience.
Emirates operates 25 weekly flights from Manila, Cebu, and Clark to Dubai. From its hub in Dubai, the airline connects passengers to over 140 destinations worldwide.
