Brazilian multinational aerospace company Embraer reported a 13% increase in aircraft deliveries in 2023, reaching a total of 181 aircraft. This marks a significant rise from the 160 aircraft delivered in 2022.

The Executive Aviation segment saw a substantial increase in delivery volume, marking the largest in seven years. The segment delivered 115 aircraft, including 74 light jets and 41 medium jets. This represents a 12% and 14% YoY growth for light and medium jets respectively.

In the Defense & Security segment, the C-390 Millennium was selected by South Korea in the Large Transport Aircraft (LTA) II public tender. This marks South Korea as the first Asian customer for the C-390 Millennium. The aircraft was also selected by Austria, Czech Republic in 2023, and the Netherlands in 2022.

The Commercial Aviation segment saw a 12% YoY increase in E-Jets family deliveries, from 57 jets in 2022 to 64 in 2023. Notably, E2 group deliveries more than doubled from 19 aircraft in 2022 to 39 in 2023.

Embraer’s backlog rose by US$1.2 billion YoY, reaching a total of US$18.7 billion in 2023. This is the highest number recorded since 1Q18. The Executive Aviation, Defense & Security, and Commercial Aviation segments all saw an increase in their backlogs.

Despite the strong performance, Embraer continues to face supply chain delays which have affected 2023 deliveries.

Embraer’s strong performance in 2023 underscores its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. As the company continues to navigate supply chain challenges, its focus remains on delivering high-quality products to its global customer base.
