The Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA) is offering new amenities for traveling families with the opening of a dedicated breastfeeding station and children’s play area in its pre-departure zone on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

The initiative, spearheaded by the airport’s Gender and Development (GAD) Committee, aims to improve comfort and convenience for passengers with young children.

The newly designated space provides a comfortable area for breastfeeding mothers and a fun haven for children before their flights, according to Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Area 7 Manager Atty. Rafael Tatlonghari.

The breastfeeding station features comfortable seating, privacy enclosures, and access to bottled water and sanitary facilities. Airport staff are also available to assist mothers using the area.

The adjacent children’s play area offers colorful toys and activities to keep young travelers entertained while waiting for their flights.

This move aligns with BPIA’s commitment to providing efficient and comfortable travel experiences for all passengers. It builds on the airport’s recognition in 2018 as the first eco-friendly airport in the Philippines, showcasing its dedication to sustainability and passenger well-being.
