The AirAsia Group is starting 2024 on a high note, receiving recognition for both its safety record and service quality. The airline group was named one of the top 20 safest low-cost airlines for 2024 by AirlineRatings.com, a prestigious aviation safety and product rating agency. Additionally, AirAsia secured the top spot in the Best Low-Cost Airlines category at the DestinAsian 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards.

The AirAsia Group is composed of AirAsia Philippines, AirAsia Malaysia, AirAsia Thailand, and affiliate medium-haul airlines AirAsia X, and Thai AirAsia X.

Ricky Isla, CEO of AirAsia Philippines, said:

Our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated team of Allstars whose unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence has led AirAsia to be recognized among the world’s safest and best low-cost airlines.

Mr. Isla added:

We wish to convey our sincerest thanks to our valued guests for placing their trust in AirAsia. Beyond affordable fares, they can always count on our commitment to safety.

The top 20 safest low-cost airlines ranking was based on factors such as incident and crash records over the past two and five years, respectively, as well as audit results from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). This recognition underscores AirAsia’s commitment to prioritizing passenger safety.

Further solidifying its reputation for excellence, AirAsia was chosen as the Rank 1 (Gold) Best Low-Cost Airline by over 10,000 readers of DestinAsian, an online travel resource. This award highlights the airline’s dedication to providing affordable fares alongside a positive travel experience.

AirAsia continues to innovate and improve its offerings. Passengers can book flights and manage their travel through the airasia Superapp, which provides seamless booking for flights, hotels, delivery services, ride hailing, and online shopping.
