AirAsia Philippines is set to expand its Cebu hub, with plans to add more flights to domestic and international destinations.

Currently, AirAsia Philippines flies 7x daily from Manila to Cebu, and 3x weekly to Caticlan and Davao via Cebu. It also flies daily to Narita (Tokyo), Seoul (Incheon), and Taipei.

Capital A President and CEO Tony Fernandes recently visited Cebu and expressed excitement about the airline’s expansion plans. “Our main growth will be in Cebu,” he said. “Our team is now working out on putting plans together to grow flights to and from Cebu.”

Fernandes also said that AirAsia will be adding more flights to Bangkok and Bali, connecting through Cebu.

Cebu is a popular tourist destination, known for its beautiful beaches, diving spots, and cultural heritage sites. It is also a major business hub, with a growing number of multinational companies setting up offices in the city.

The expansion of AirAsia’s Cebu hub is a welcome development for the tourism and business sectors in the region. It will make it easier and more affordable for people to travel to and from Cebu, and will help to boost economic activity in the area.

To entice more guests to fly to and from Cebu, AirAsia is offering a special sale from 7 to 13 August 2023. For as low as PHP 88 for domestic and PHP 488 to PHP 4,688 for international flights, guests can visit their favorite destinations from 7 August to 30 September 2023.
