PAL marks Independence Day 2023 with seat sale

National flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has unveiled a special Independence Day Seat Sale to commemorate Philippine Independence Day 2023. The promotion offers travelers domestic one-way base fares starting as low as PHP 125, and international roundtrip base fares as low as USD 79.

The Vice President for Sales at PAL, Mr. Bud Britanico, expressed his enthusiasm for the promotion, stating, “Celebrate your freedom to fly! We are delighted to invite you and travel enthusiasts worldwide to take advantage of our Independence Day Seat Sale. As we concentrate our efforts on reviving the tourism industry, we hope you will consider Philippine Airlines when planning your 2024 travel with our affordable promotional fares.”

Passengers can avail of the discounted fares by booking their flights from now until June 25, 2023, for domestic destinations within the Philippines, as well as select international routes to Australia, Hong Kong, Guam, Macau, Taipei, Japan, South Korea, Port Moresby, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. However, passengers traveling to and from the United States and Canada have until July 4, 2023, to make their bookings.

For flights to and from Mainland China, the booking period will commence on June 19 and conclude on July 2, 2023.

The travel period for passengers originating from the Philippines varies depending on the destination. Travelers heading to South Korea and Guam can commence their journeys from July 1, 2023, onwards. For those traveling to Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, Taipei, and Southeast Asia, the travel period will begin from September 1, 2023. Passengers planning trips to Japan can book flights starting from January 15, 2024. The travel period for domestic destinations within the Philippines, North America, the Middle East, Port Moresby, and Australia will commence on February 1, 2024.

Travelers originating from countries other than the Philippines should note that different travel periods apply. Detailed information can be found on the official Philippine Airlines website at flights.philippineairlines.com/en-ph/independence-day-sale-2023-conditions.

PAL has been gradually restoring routes and flights as international borders reopen worldwide. The airline recently launched a new service between Manila and Perth on March 27. In addition, PAL introduced flights connecting Cebu with Baguio City and Borongan in December. Over the past few months, PAL has also reopened services between the Philippines and several cities in Mainland China, as well as Macau.
