Starting June 16, 2023, Philippine Airlines (PAL) will move all of its international flights to Terminal 1 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila. The move is part of the Manila International Airport Authority’s (MIAA) terminal reassignment initiative to ease passenger congestion at all terminals.
Under the new terminal assignments, all PAL international flights will depart from and arrive at Terminal 1. This includes flights to and from Bangkok, Beijing, Brisbane, Busan, Fukuoka, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Jinjiang, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Melbourne, Nagoya, Osaka, Perth, Port Moresby, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney, Taipei, and Xiamen.
PAL domestic flights will continue to operate from Terminal 2. However, passengers with connecting flights between international and domestic flights will need to take a shuttle bus between the two terminals.
The MIAA terminal reassignment initiative is part of a broader plan to improve the passenger experience at NAIA. The airport authority has also been working to upgrade the airport’s facilities and improve its security measures.
Passengers are advised to check the flight terminal assigned to their flight before proceeding to the airport. They can do this by visiting the PAL website or by calling the airline’s customer service hotline.
Additionally, PAL announced that the following flights will arrive at Terminal 1 on June 15:
- Flight PR 469 from Seoul
- Flight PR 419 from Busan
- Flight PR 895 from Taipei
