Philippine Airlines mounts special flights between Cebu and Laoag enabling travelers from the ‘Queen City of the South’ to fly to the northern city and experience a weekend of art, music and culture.

PAL’s 86-seater Dash 8-400NG with registration RP-C5911, took off from Mactan Cebu International Airport at 8:45 AM, with art and music enthusiasts, leisure travelers and several social media influencers on board.

The special Cebu – Laoag – Cebu flight — made possible through the collaboration between the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte and Philippine Airlines — reflects the flag carrier’s commitment to serve as an air bridge to promote regional connectivity and bolster local tourism, including the arts scene.

PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng led the send-off for the special flight which registered a high passenger load of 90%

“We are united with you in promoting domestic travel to the regional centers of our country. Local communities are the true frontlines of the Philippine economy, and this is true for both Cebu and Ilocos,” he said.

The City of Laoag is celebrating over the weekend “Himala Sa Buhangin Art and Music Festival” enabling all to experience the best of Filipino talent, artistry and the warmth of Ilokano hospitality.
