Zipair Tokyo, a low-cost carrier subsidiary of Japan Airlines, announced today that it will launch direct flights between Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) and Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) on July 1, 2023.
The new route will be operated daily with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, which can accommodate up to 290 passengers. Flight ZG-95 will depart from NRT at 9:25 AM (JST) and arrive in MNL at 1:10 PM (PHT). The return flight, ZG-96, will depart from MNL at 2:35 PM (PHT) and arrive in NRT at 8:05 PM (JST).
“In recent years, the Republic of the Philippines is experiencing a strong economic growth and the carrier is expecting to see robust travel demand between the two countries. Zipair looks to offer a new standard in air travel, featuring quality service at a reasonable price,” the airline said.
The launch of the new service is part of Zipair’s continued expansion plans. The airline currently operates flights to Bangkok, Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Jose, Seoul, and Singapore, and plans to add new destinations in the coming months.
Tickets for the new Tokyo-Manila route are now available for purchase on the Zipair website.
