King Air aircraft veers off Manila runway

A Beech 350 Super King Air, with registry RP-C6198, veered off Runway 13/31 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Tuesday morning.

According to an advisory from the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), the aircraft “stalled at Runway 13/31” at 10:05 AM (local time).

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) investigators, along with the MIAA Rescue and Firefighting Division, Airport Grounds Operation and Safety Division, Medical Team and Airport Security, immediately responded to the incident.

The MIAA says that its medical office has declared two crew members and seven passengers unharmed from the incident.

The aircraft was successfully recovered from the runway at 10:43 AM. The affected runway was reopened five minutes later.

The airport operator said that this incident had no significant impact to flight operations in Manila.

The NAIA has a primary and secondary runway. Runway 06/24, the primary runway, is 3,737 meters long and can accommodate widebody aircraft. The other runway, Runway 13/31, is 2,258 meters long and only suitable for narrowbody aircraft.
