National flag carrier Philippine Airlines announced Wednesday the introduction of flights between Manila, Philippines, and Perth, Australia in 2023.

In a press release, PAL said it intends to commence services beginning March 27, 2023, which will make Perth the flag carrier’s fourth destination in Australia.

The thrice-a-week service would operate every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Flying non-stop for seven hours, the 168-seat Airbus A321neo fleet will be deployed on the route.

“We are delighted to say, ‘Mabuhay, Perth!’ as we expand our network to Western Australia,” said Philippine Airlines President & COO Captain Stanley K. Ng.

He added: “The new nonstop flights give Philippine Airlines and travel partners a great opportunity to promote the Philippines as a prime tourist and business destination for travelers in Western Australia. Likewise, we invite Filipinos to do business in Perth or visit family members while discovering this dynamic Australian region and building new friendships.”

Flight PR-223 will depart from Manila at 12:05 AM (UTC+8) and will arrive in Perth at 7:15 AM (UTC+8). The return flight, PR-224, will depart from Perth at 8:30 AM and will arrive back in Manila at 3:50 PM.

PAL flights will operate in Terminal 1 International of Perth Airport.
