Beginning on December 1, 2022, the national flag carrier Philippine Airlines will operate nonstop flights between Cebu and Cotabato.

The aforementioned route, which would make Cotabato PAL’s newest destination from its Cebu hub, was revealed by the flag carrier on Monday.

“We hope to contribute positively to the economic development of Cotabato City and the Bangsamoro region by launching this new link to progressive Cotabato City,” said PAL Vice President for Sales Bud Britanico.

“Philippine Airlines is also gearing up for the December peak holiday season by offering more flights out of Cebu to serve travelers living in the Central Visayas and Southern Mindanao regions.  We want to do our part to connect families, encourage healthy business growth and spur holiday travel between these vital regions of the country.”

Cebu-Cotabato flights will operate every Monday and Thursday aboard the airline’s 86-seat De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 aircraft.

At 5:20 AM, flight 2P-2223 will leave Mactan-Cebu International Airport and land at 6:35 AM at Cotabato Airport. 2P-2224, the return flight, will leave Cotabato at 11:00 AM and land in Cebu at 12:15 PM.

Passengers bound for Tawi-Tawi will also benefit from this new route as they are seamlessly linked. Guests can now fly from Cebu to Tawi-Tawi, and vice versa, after a brief stop in Cotabato.

Additionally, PAL introduced Baguio as a new departure point from Cebu last month. From December 16, travelers can now travel non-stop on the Cebu-Baguio route every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
