Philippine Airlines will pledge to donate $2 for every ticket purchased as part of this promotion to the Mastercard Priceless Planet Coalition, a sustainability project that aims to bring together consumers, and corporate and government partners to take sustainable action against climate change. PPC uses a reforestation model that’s not only focused on planting trees, but also on re-growing forests in geographies with the greatest need and most potential for a positive climate, community and biodiversity impact. Launched by Mastercard in January 2020, PPC is working to plant 100 million trees by 2025, and is currently driving contributions to 18 global reforestation projects including in the Philippines, Cambodia, Brazil, and Kenya. In the Philippines alone, over 417,500 trees have been planted (https://www.mastercard.us/en-us/vision/corp-responsibility/priceless-planet.html).

“The Priceless Planet Coalition is a platform that unites corporate sustainability efforts by engaging businesses and consumers to take collective action to drive positive change for the environment. Mastercard is delighted to have the support and contribution of partners such as Philippine Airlines that share its commitment to the wellbeing of the planet. We look forward to working together to achieve the Priceless Planet Coalition’s goal of restoring 100 million trees globally by 2025,” said Simon Calasanz, Country Manager, the Philippines, Mastercard.
