In anticipation of the Christmas holiday season, AirAsia Philippines is increasing flight frequencies across its network with a focus on the Visayas and Mindanao regions of the Philippines.
The Philippine-based subsidiary of AirAsia started to increase flight frequencies to domestic and international destinations from its hubs in Manila and Cebu. From November 1, the weekly flight frequencies are listed below:
Domestic
From Manila:
- Cebu – 56
- Tacloban – 35
- Caticlan (Boracay) – 34
- Cagayan De Oro, Davao, Iloilo – 28
- Kalibo, Tagbilaran (Bohol), Puerto Princesa – 21
- Zamboanga – 7
From Cebu:
- Davao, Cagayan De Oro – 4
- Caticlan (Boracay) – 7
- Puerto Princesa – 3
International
From Manila:
- Bangkok-Don Mueang – 11
- Seoul-Incheon – 10
- Hong Kong – 3 (by December)
“Our focus at AirAsia is to make sure our brand of affordable world-class air service is available to Filipinos during seasons they need it most. The growth in our number of flights to various destinations comes timely as we brace for the holiday exodus,” said Ricky Isla, Chief Executive Officer, AirAsia Philippines.According to AirAsia Philippines, the budget airline observed a “robust upward trend” towards end-year with a 90% load factor during the month of October – 2% below the same month before the pandemic (October 2019).
