Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific announced the airline will ramp up flights in the Visayas and Mindanao regions beginning November 2022.
According to Cebu Pacific, interisland flights in the Visayas and Mindanao regions are expected to increase by 35 percent as the airline marches closer to restoring pre-pandemic capacity and route network.
Starting October 30, the airline will resume direct flights from Davao to Cagayan de Oro and Singapore. ATR flights to Cagayan de Oro will fly four times weekly every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Meanwhile, Davao to Singapore flights will fly thrice weekly every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
Additionally, Cebu Pacific will resume flights between Davao and Bacolod on October 31. Aboard the Airbus A320 fleet, services between the two cities will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
From the Cebu hub, the low-cost airline plans to increase frequencies to its existing network this November. This includes flights to Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, General Santos, and Puerto Princesa, among others.
“We are very happy to share this good news with everyJuan as we continuously see a sustained confidence among the traveling public. As we approach the holiday season, we expect more people wanting to fly and come back home, thus we made sure we are more than ready with additional flight connections,” said Xander Lao, CEB Chief Commercial Officer.
To stimulate travel and tourism between the two major islands, Cebu Pacific has launched a special Php 199 seat sale from October 1 to 16, 2022, exclusive for the Visayas and Mindanao hub. Travel period is from October 1, 2022 until March 31, 2023.
