Singapore Airlines (SIA) has unveiled its all-new flagship SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 following a two-year US$37 million renovation and expansion project.

The new lounges can accommodate around 1,150 guests over 6,100 square meters, a 30 percent increase from SIA’s previous offering. This is also double the capacity that was available while renovations were ongoing.

SIA worked with Singapore-based hospitality design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates to redevelop the lounges for First and Business Class passengers as well as members of The PPS Club and the KrisFlyer frequent flyer program.

The SilverKris Lounge, SIA’s flagship offering, is available exclusively for Suites, First Class, Business Class, PPS Club, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold passengers and is divided into three sections: The Private Room, First Class, and Business Class.

The Private Room, the lounge’s most exclusive space, is accessible only to Singapore Airlines Suites and Singapore Airlines First Class passengers. This area can accommodate up to 78 guests at a time and includes four private day rooms with either a bed or a reclining seat, well-appointed seats for groups of various sizes, four shower suites, private meeting rooms, and a fine dining sit-down restaurant.

The First Class section of the SilverKris Lounge is open to Suites and First Class passengers as well as Solitaire PPS Club members. This area is equipped with six shower suites, four private day rooms, private meeting rooms, a live cooking station, and a bar that serves barista-made coffee in the mornings and signature cocktails in the evenings.

The Business Class section, meanwhile, is open to Business Class passengers as well as PPS Club members. This section — now 20 percent larger — includes a quiet rest area, a dining hall with a self-service buffet, a living room with sofas and productivity pods, and an open concept courtyard-style area. There is also a full-service bar that offers guests a view of the runway.

The KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, open to KrisFlyer Elite Gold members (and its Star Alliance Gold equivalents) traveling in Premium Economy or Economy Class, has an open-layout design that can accommodate about 350 guests. The new lounge — two times bigger than the previous one — also includes an expanded dining area with extensive food and beverage options, dedicated restrooms, and shower facilities.

“Extensive customer engagement and research have gone into the design of the new SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges. Customers will enjoy thoughtfully curated product offerings and experience the signature Singapore Airlines hospitality, all within a comfortable and restful environment, ensuring that they are refreshed and ready for their journey,” said SIA Chief Executive Officer Mr. Goh Choon Phong.

He continued: “Opening these lounges at this time signals our commitment to SIA’s premium brand and growth strategy. It reinforces our position as Changi Airport’s anchor airline, and reflects our confidence in Singapore’s future as a pre-eminent global air hub.”

SIA’s all-new The Private Room and First Class lounge will be available beginning May 31st, 2022 at 6 PM, while the Business Class lounge and the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge are already open. The First Class, Business Class, and KrisFlyer Gold lounges are open 24 hours a day, while The Private Room will be open from 5:30 AM to 2:30 AM.
