National flag carrier Philippine Airlines is expanding its domestic presence as it relaunched flights on key domestic routes in the Philippines, taking advantage of the spur of passenger demand amid the holiday season.
PAL will restart flights between Manila and Basco this month, initially operating limited flights for December. The airline will then fly to Basco twice weekly from January 2, 2022, thrice weekly from February 3, 2022, and four times weekly from March 2, 2022.
Meanwhile, the flag carrier is ramping up Manila to Iloilo flights from nine weekly to 14 weekly, beginning December 10, 2021. Manila to Bacolod flights also increases from once to twice daily from December 16, 2021.
PAL is now operating eight daily flights between Manila and Cebu from five daily in November. Flights to Davao increased to four times daily, Zamboanga to six times weekly, Panglao to twice daily, and General Santos to once daily.
Interisland flights have also resumed. The flag carrier has now opened flights from Iloilo to Cebu, Davao, and General Santos.
