Korean Air has signed a business agreement with Seoul’s Mapo District to sponsor ‘Skypass Forest’, an urban green space to be fostered along the abandoned rail tracks along Gyeongui Line in Mapo by next year. This will run commensurate with the third phase of the Gyeongui Line Forest Park project, an urban green project along the former railway line in Mapo.
This marks the first project announced under Korean Air’s ‘Green Skypass’ initiative. The airline plans to foster eco-friendly spaces to cope with climate change and work towards carbon neutralization, all of which Korean Air Skypass members directly participate in creating.
Korean Air’s ‘Green Skypass’ is a member-participation project where the airline will raise funds towards its green programs whenever a SkyTeam member purchases bonus tickets or logo products with miles. Call for member participation will be made available on Korean Air’s website and mobile applications.
