The first of Cebu Pacific’s A330-900neo is scheduled to be delivered next month from Toulouse, France. It has been an open secret that the airline’s A330neo fleet will feature new seats in an all-economy configuration, upping capacity to 459 passengers.

AUP’s sources gave us details and photos of the interior of the new aircraft. The cabin will feature the new Airbus Airspace Cabin fitted with Recaro seats, similar to the ones found in A321neo. The seats will be slimmer and more vibrant compared to A330ceo, with the addition of the airline’s colors outlining the seat.

Just like the new Recaro seats on Cebu Pacific’s A321neo fleet, the seats in the A330neo will not recline. The seats also have USB ports for charging electronic devices throughout the flight, a worthy addition first introduced in the airline’s A321neo.

The new widebody aircraft are eyed to be deployed on international routes that the current A330ceo fleet caters. Those routes include Hong Kong, Singapore, Narita, Incheon, Dubai, Melbourne, Sydney and Bangkok. It is also expected to be flown on domestic trunk routes, such as Cebu and Davao.

Regarding the Airbus A330ceos, the airline will take out three of the type this year. The first two, RP-C3341 and RP-C3342, already left the fleet and joined British low-cost airline flypop. A third one is expected to return to its lessor next month.

The new aircraft will enable Cebu Pacific to cope with the expected increase of travelers during the holiday season, especially after the Philippines lifted the 70 percent capacity cap on public transportation. On another plus side, the A330neo will also bring down operating costs and introduce fuel savings, helping Cebu Pacific’s on its recovery track.
