Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific Airways announced on August 25 the permanent closure of its ticketing offices in Manila, and Cebu.

In a Facebook post, Cathay Pacific said it will shut down its ticketing offices in the two cities beginning September 1, 2021.

The airline said all ticketing transactions and inquiries will be accommodated through its Global Contact Centres which are available 24/7 (toll-free numbers):

  • PLDT/Smart 1-800-1110-2720
  • Globe 1-800-8909-4024

However, Cathay Pacific clarified that flights from Hong Kong to Manila and Cebu will continue to operate and will remain unaffected of the closure.

“To clarify recent reports about the closure of our Manila and Cebu ticketing offices from Sept. 1, 2021, we confirm that this only pertains to our ticketing counters, as the handling of bookings and other inquiries have been shifted to our Global Contact Centers, which offer a safer and contactless experience for our customers,” the airline said.
