Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading carrier, safely transported another 1.5 million COVID-19 vaccine doses from Beijing to Manila, today, June 17, via flight 5J 671, aiding in the continuous rollout of our country’s vaccination program.

Included in this shipment is the first batch of privately procured vaccines to arrive in the country consisting of 500,000 Sinovac doses.

“We appreciate the support of Cebu Pacific and other carriers in transporting these life-saving vaccines, and look forward to welcoming even more in the coming months as we expect to continue inoculating more Filipinos,” said vaccine czar, Sec. Carlito Galvez, Jr., chief implementer of the National Task Force Against COVID-19.

All these vaccines were preserved in temperature-specific refrigerated containers to maintain potency and efficacy up until arrival at the designated stations.

“We are happy to keep supporting our government while aiding the private sector in this united effort to successfully vaccinate the Filipino population,” Alex Reyes, Chief Strategy Officer at Cebu Pacific. “We are committed to continue contributing in this national fight against COVID-19 through the safe and timely delivery of vaccines from abroad and across our domestic network,” added Reyes.
