Cebu Pacific mounts additional Hong Kong flights this Christmas

The Philippines’ leading low-cost carrier, Cebu Pacific Air (PSE:CEB) adds one more daily flight between Manila and Hong Kong during Christmas peak season, to accommodate travel demand to Hong Kong.

Utilizing Airbus A320 aircraft, CEB will operate a total of five daily Manila-Hong Kong-Manila flights on the following days only: December 20-23, 26-30, 2013 and January 2-5, 2014. The flight departs Manila at 11:30pm and arrives at 1:30am the next day. The return flight departs Hong Kong at 2:15am and arrives in Manila at 4:15am.

“We hope to give more travelers the chance to visit Hong Kong this Christmas holidays, especially with the festive activities lined up this season. With up to five daily flights between Manila and Hong Kong, guests can definitely pick the most convenient flight schedule that is perfect for their travel plans,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

Aside from Manila, CEB flies from Cebu, Clark and Iloilo to Hong Kong.

Among the activities scheduled in Hong Kong this Christmas season are: Hong Kong Food Festival (December 25-28), Hong Kong Mega Showcase featuring over 800 brands (December 25-28) and the Dragon and Lion Dance Extravaganza (January 1, 2014).

CEB offers flights to 24 international destinations, namely Bali, Bangkok, Beijing, Brunei, Busan, Dubai, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Incheon (Seoul), Jakarta, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Nagoya, Narita, Osaka, Phuket, Shanghai, Siem Reap, Singapore, Taipei and Xiamen. It also operates the most extensive network in the Philippines with 33 domestic destinations and hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark, Kalibo, Iloilo and Davao.

CEB’s 47-strong fleet is comprised of 10 Airbus A319, 27 Airbus A320, 2 Airbus A330 and 8 ATR-72 500 aircraft. It is one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world. Between 2013 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take delivery of 15 more brand-new Airbus A320, 30 Airbus A321neo, and 4 Airbus A330 aircraft.
